Warhol Fassbinder Genet

1982 Rainer Werner Fassbinder reached out to Andy Warhol to design a poster for his movie Querelle. Based on the Jean Genet novel. Also to be the last movie Fassbinder would make before dying. Starring the fantastic Brad Davis, Franco Nero and French legend Jeanne Moreau.
Here are some images from the commission and the final poster at the bottle.

This movie was my introduction to "queer" cinema. I was 12 or 13 years of age. Where did I see it? My living room with my parents. They had rented it along with two other notorious movies, that we watched that weekend. The Story of O and Behind the Green Door.
I was not a sheltered child, THANK THE POWERS THAT BE.
